heater issues

heater issues

i have a 1990 f350 4x4 crewcab and i put a new heater core in it and the core puts off heat but i'm gettin more cool air then hot though the vents and defrost, floor ect. i just dont know how im gettin outside air, is somthing not shuttin off the cold air from outside? any help would be great!!

your air mix valve could be stuck on open. check that. Also I had the sam problem and it was due to the inner dash having broken hoses (the ones that lead out of the heater core box over time they just fall apart).

wheres this air mix valve located? and also the heat seems to be warmest out of the vents but still not very warm.

Sorry i meant your "blend door" and it is in your dash. As I can remember I think you can reach it from taking out the fan under the hood. it should be attached to the lever on your dash that reads "vent heat."
