Insight insight needed

Just got mine installed, waiting for the EGT probe install, maybe this week...truck is running well, ~180* ECT w/ ~185* EOT & 155* Trans temp @ ~2000 RPM @ 70 mph no load.

A few for you...

1. What, effect, if any, does the diff in "IAT" and "IAT2" give? Is this the IAT at the MAF and the IAT2 is after the CAC?

2. Can EGR valve info be derived from "cmd egr" percentage? ie, does this mean percent valve is opened?

3. Is TCC Slip percentage a usable gauge?

My 4 screens:

1. EOT, Trans temp, Boost, ECT, Mod Volts, EGT
2. EOT, ECT bar graph
3. IAT, IAT2, cmd egr, load %, misc others
4. TCC slip, shaft input, shaft output, accelerator position, misc other tranny

Id like to maximize the data from this device, any suggestions or recomendations as to other parameters to monitor?

Also, under instant mpg, I cant seem to get an accurate reading, I attempted to calibrate for fuel type and grade but I could not find the fuel type choice in the configuration menu. Anyone else experience this?

I would suggest calling there support line to get some input on your questions seems most of us with the insight just use only a few of the available points displayed ie ECT, EOT, EGT tried to use the MPG and it just seems to jump all over he place but then haven't taken a long hwy trip so it might settle into a useful reading.

I know there is no calculated MPG but it does show what they call instantaneous MPG. Instructions say it only will give you an indication of more gas use or less mostly useless as I see it.

per your advice, called and spoke with edge customer service, it seems that my insight is not picking up my VIN number for some reason. I might need to take it to the dealership to have it reflashed and the VIN entered into the PCM. I thought that this was automatic but the tech on the phone seemed to think that it was a direct result of reflashing and not entering the VIN.
