here are some pics of the throttle linkage. what nice about it is that you can turn the all thread for fine tuning and ounce done it will be locked and it will never go out off adjustment. it bolts down at the two rear valve over bolts.
Wow, I am so impressed. After a visit to your profile and reading the description of your truck, and not seeing any pics, I was not sure if what I envisioned was going to look good... I was very wrong.
BTW I learned how to drive with my Dads 75/300/3 on the tree. When I received my associates degree he gave it to me for a grad present. It was well used by that time and I eventually trashed it. Another interesting similarity is the 300 I plan to put in my kit is a 75. It's OB'ed 0.06" stock rebuild but now I can see my dream can be reality.
Nice Work!!!! Very clean and professional!!! On your custom built intakes be sure and provide a support on the driver side from the head up to the plennum (EFI's have one) the support bolt came out on my EFI and it worked the gasket at the intake/head and caused a bad air leak, just too much leverage in that length with the weight and engine vibes. Looks like your well on your way, have at it.You may be able to sell some custom stuff if it works well, there's lots of interest on here.Something I hear about is the flimsy lifter cover, you could probably fabricate a strong steel one,the stock ones deform so easy, and once they do,they are done.Good luck with everything.
Here are a few more pictures. The engine before I pulled it. The engine compartment after I painted it and The first picture I took when I got everything done. My dad came over last night and heard the engine run. He was amazed by how powerful it sounded. He actually rebuilt this same motor in 1985 when he bought the truck for my brother. My brother owned it up until 2004.It was the only vehicle my brother owned until then. then he sold it to me. It is nice to have my dad look at my work and say he is proud of it. It is also nice to have people like all of you look at other peoples work and enjoy it and not to think of how much money was spent but the pride one takes in there work. for that I salute all of you. Thanks again for all the information that all of you have given me and have put on this forum.
What trans is that? Is that an inline water pressure gage? Also does your Company have a web site? If you do not mind would you post a link? I did a search but was not sure what I was looking at.
WOW! That's the first time I seen your truck. It is something special. Those mid '70's were great trucks,If I were building a great custom truck, that is the body group I would go after,They are almost a classic,if not already. You are going to end up with a fantastic truck! This truck has some steel in it,rather "good old Detroit Iron".I can't compliment you enough on your choices!
