Stumped on clutch pedal
My 1979 F150 4x4 clutch pedal will not return to the rubber stop when I take my foot off the pedal. Two years ago I had a clutch job and when the pedal is on the floor and I pull my foot off it grabs quickly and smooth and then about 6" off the floor the clutch is fully engage, the rest of the pedal travels to the rubber stop ,until now ,after the clutch is engagedand I'm driving down the road it suddenly returnsall the way to the rubber stop. Is my spring (return) wearing out ? Do I need to make an adjustment ? Do I need to lubricate the spring ? Is there an adjustment under the cab that I need to make? The clutch works great, its just that the pedal does not return to up position aginst the rubber stop. Help.
