so after realizing that my 94 f250 is actually an IDI, see i was confused because it's a turbo IDI and i didnt know there were factory turbo IDI, so i dont know who or where that offers replacement or performance parts for IDI's. so any help on this matter would be great
So is modding your air intake as the factory set ups leave a lot to be desired. If you do a search on any of these ideas you will find a wealth of information.
i was gonnna order a 6637 kit to start off with while swapping engine oil over to royal purple, my other plans are to switch my gear ratio to 3.73 to drop my rpms a bit. but a good 4" exhaust will help with egt's. my 94 250 4x4 ext cab lg bed has 250 k on it so i should probably replace other things first, i got a big trip coming up and i need be able to drive 2,200 miles round trip and not break down as this is also my daily driver
i live in the skagit area, but after doing some research i wanna put on a 6637 kit, turn up my ip 1 flat, and chop the exhaust before the muffler. am i just stupid or will this work and not destroy my motor? i have a baby on the way so im looking for DIY mods for my truck.
i assume the 6637 kit your talking about is adapting a 6637 to your truck.that is what the powerstroke guys do as far as getting more air if you are decent with sheet metal look down next to your drivers side headlight between it and the radiator there is a rectangular opening.i would adapt a ram air to that instead of the cone type filter.i have a cone filter and hate it.lol if your turning the pump up get a pyro firsteven if it is just one flat.do you currently have any smoke?
i dont have any smoke, the most ive ever seen out of my truck is when im just sitting and i hit the pedal hard and then a tiny puff comes out but not very much at all.
