I bought an 89 bronco 5.8w and it turned over but definitly needed a new fuel pump. Everything eletric worked on the truck lights radio locks even the rear window. Today I put the new fuel pump in and a brand new bateri I tryed to start it up and got nothing no lights just a click and the tack went up to one and baterie showed 1/2 charged. I tryed starting it aggain and still nothing i tryed a window and nothing the only thing working as my locks and the A/C. I also tryed 2 other bateries thinking that could be it. Any ideas what it could be im going to go threw the fuses and put new leads on there tomaorw, could it be related to the fuel pump?
also im new here did i post this in the wrong spot?
It wast the grounds and it looks like i did everything right on the fuel pump? any new ideas. Would a shop be able to trouble shoot this for me using a fancy computer system?
I dropped the tank again to check it all and it seemed fine. It is not the battery but the solenoid seems like a good possibility. if that don't do it is there a tool that can read my connections?
The tool: a piece or automotive wire. Just check the diagrams on the relays and try to connect them directly using the wire, it will serve you to test them.
