Can anyone help ford 6.0 2003 I just had a new ficm,egr valve, and vehicle reflashed drove the truck for about 2 months or 2,000 miles at the most and this light comes on emisssion control system, serive engine. I checked gas cap and I even took battery cable off to reset if possible. I also just changed oil and filters and air filter about 200 miles.The truck runs fine but sometimes when I crank it up it will smoke a little but clears up and runs great. A mechanic at the ford dealer told me to drive it like I stole it to keep it blowed out is this good or bad any help will be appreciated. John In Jax,fl

 

Can you get any codes, might need to take it in for this, but, could be an early warning for something. Changing fuel filters, oil, filters ect all good places to start.
