Hey all I wanted to know if K & N airfilters are really worth it. Ive found a brand on evay named Kool Blue which claim the same thing as K&N but i dont know. What kind of increases do these give horsepower, gas mileage, etc. Thanks
Yes... K&N filters are deffinantly worth it... IF you can afford it.
My personal choice for aircleaners is either OEM, Specter or a good name like Bosch (not fram, fram is cheap as hell in terms of quality).
Just remember, an air cleaner CAN save your engine. I've personally seen the scoring on cylinder walls after a cheap air filter has imploded, and I've got to say, that's deffinantly not something you want to deal with.
Kool Blue, and couple other's have came out since K&N started the cleanable filter craze. I run a couple K&N's and while I'm pleased, it's easier to just change the filter regularly. As Harte3 said, nothing wrong with the Motorcraft. If you go for aftermarket filter assemblies, just stay away from anything made of foam.
ok cool i didnt know alot about this so I thought id ask. my friend swears he can feel a difference with a K&N filter but i never believed him haha. I always say put a cam then you feel a difference lol
