Just rebuilt my carb, and im puttin back on the truck, and i looked up some info online to make sure everything goes back together right. From stuff i found out, it seems like everything was hooked up wrong before (just got the truck about a month ago), and i dont know enough about carbs which is why im on here. Its an edelbrock 600 cfm, and currently theres nothin hooked up to the back of the carb, which is believe is for the vacuum for the brakes, on the very front pcv is a hose going to the oil cap, and the vacuum hose for the distributor isnt even hooked up. Can anyone help me figure out how all this is supposed to go? Thanks.
you can run the brakes to the intake or carb vac. The dizzy gets the higher from the base vac port and plug the other. The higher one is ported or timed vac source and the other is manifold source.
ya im pretty sure the brakes arent hooked up to either, and what about the tube going from the oil fill cap, is that ok hooked up to the front pcv valve?
Theres no 1 way that everything has to work, hook the brakes up to the intake manifold, or carb base, either one, use one carb base for a pcv. Got to have a pcv, or the motor will FORCE the crankcase out somewhere else.
