TDC on cylinder #1 at the end of the compression stroke, all four marks in a line.
When you install the front cover and the harmonic balancer, if you have not moved the crankshaft from where you had everything in line, you can check to see if the line on the harmonic balancer is still in the correct position.
More that one person has noticed the harmonic balancer had slipped and was not dead on on the timing marks.
