ARE THERE ANY NOTICABLE DIFFERANCES IN 302 AND 351M ,BY ONLY LOOKING?

They are two different engines. Look at the thermostat housing, if it bolts to the front of the intake manifold it's a 302. If it bolts to the block it's a 351M.

not to mention that a 302 will look like you can pitch a tent between the manifold and the fender. the 351M/400 block is very comparable to a 460 in sheer size, and uses a 460/429 distributor. the V is much wider than the 302 as well.
