Tailgate what it worth

Hey guys
Can you tell me about what a tailgate from a 67-72 truck is worth? It has one small ding in the top rail wich i did not see till i ran my hand down it and one half-dollar size ding just blow the rail in a flat area. It also has slight suface rust and the chrome panel that says "FORD" on it.

I have a tailgate similar to what you are describing, I wouldn't sell mine for less than $75. That seems to be what they go for around here.

I found a decent tailgate last week at the local salvage.
they put 100 bucks on it. Too rich for my blood. Hence the name.

Ok thanks for the replys. The deal is that i found one in a junk yard and the guy wants $75 for it. I thought that i might be able to talk him down, buy it, and sell on ebay for a profit.

I don't know about you guys but it seems that every farmer around here has at least on of these style fords, So naturally parts are easy to come by, which makes them cheap. was one my main reasons for buying this year of ford truck.

its the same way here too. there are a lot of these trucks this model. i just bought a good tailgate at the junkyard with no rust for 25$ i just paid 50 for my grille(theres a pic in my gallery)
