Trailer Wiring
I'm looking for a wiring harness similar to this one in the link ( i hope i can link it). what i have is a 4 wire flat and i want to switch it out for a 7 wire. anyone know of where i could find it, or perhaps a part number i can search for. The book at local shop doesnt go back far enuf for listing a 89.

The part that will hook up to your pickup, will be just the 4 flat, and you will have to wire the other parts yourself, like the backup lights, + batt, and trailer brakes... so basicaly if I where you, I would cut the trailer plug off the harness you have and wire it into the 7 RV plug.. than run the extra wires you need..

Plug that back into the truck & go buy a Draw-tite 18321. It is a 7-way socket that your flat 4 plugs into & then you have to run the rest of the wires for E-brakes, reverse, hot, etc. No since cutting wire if you don't have to.
