EGR on EFI system

As the others have stated you will not notice any change in performance. You may notice more fuel useage as the intent of the EGR is to reduce the amount of incoming oxygen into the engine, which the O2 sensor balances the fuel ratio to the correct ratio, usually reducing fuel charge when the EGR is operating. Typically, the EGR only operates when you are moving at a constant pace (highway speeds), not on acceleration or deceleration. This isnt the "cheap" performance mod of yester year which the EGR/carburator combination did have noticable differences in performance changes.
You are better replacing rusted away/inoperable parts on this system, but you are not forced by anyone on this board to do so.
