exactly the same as 02-03?? I'm looking at a wrecked 1999 rollover 7.3 6spd 4x4 118k miles. guy wants $2000 for it. Is it worth it? are all parts exactly the same on the trucks from 99-03?
i'm going to check it out tomorrow if it doesn't snow a whole lot tonight.. been snowing like crazy so i couldn't get out.
he way you guys are writing it seems an early 99 is better than late 99?
I worded that poorly. There are a lot more differences in the early, but even the late is different in the areas I mentioned. The front diff is also smaller on the 99, if 4x4.
i found some other guy who has a 2000 stroker with 6spd speed, 2wd, no bed, ****ty wheels.. i was wondering if the frames are the same on 2wd and 4wd just in case my frame is bent on the 4wd wreck i just bought.
I bought 99 4x4 for $1700 once i checked inertia switch. it was tripped. I reset it but it didn't start. I didn't hear fuel pump come on. oh well. win some ya lose some.
Engine alone is worth that if it wasnt damaged in the wreck. Also, the 6-speed is valuable, not sure what its worth, a lot of guys want that tranny. The engine is the same on the early 99's, just a few bolt on things are different (turbo and engine boot size), no AIH heater (thats not really a bad thing, a lot of guys eliminate it anyway), slightly smaller brakes, rear is a 10.25 sterling, not a 10.5 (not sure when that changed), you have a real ashtray not a trash bag holder in the dash, but you have the crappy cup holders and your coffee will tip over. I'm sure there are a lot of things others will bring up.
