Exclamation New shock advice needed!!

So my 4x4 is in need of new shocks and I'm looking for input. It's a 95 crew cab long box with a 6" lift and 35's. It's never rode smooth but not near as bad at it is currently.

What shocks would you all suggest? I'm looking for something that can help out with the 'teeth rattling' ride!

I know Bilsteins are very popular with the SD guys, but wanted some OBS perspectives.

Thanks!

well your ride suffers more from the 6" lift than anything but since you are asking about shocks i like the rancho 9000 series adjustables or bilstein 5100 series. of course i am running superduty shocks on my 96 and they ride great. i have gotten a couple sets for free from lift shops who have a bunch laying around when guys take their SD's in for a lift job.

Yeah, it's always been rougher but not as bad as recently. I can seriously feel every little thing in the road. I used to drive this truck as it sits now, but haven't much in the past 3 years or so. Even with the lift it was very comfortable to be in, but lately it just kills me and any passangers to go very far in it.

I had trailmaster ssv before i got those fab techs from ya. I would look at getting those maybe, they rode really nice. In fact I think i might be looking at a set this spring, or maybe the bilsteins. I dont know if you know about rocky mountial suspention or not but this is where i got my trailmasters and they were really good to work with.

Thanks Blake. I'll check them out.

Any ideas on the best place to buy Bilsteins?

i'm going to start by asking what lift you have that it is a teeth rattling ride? mine rides much smoother then a stock truck..... i am very happy with the skyjacker nitros. they are only 42 bucks each for your truck and ride excellent. limited lifetime warrenty as well!

Tuff Country EZride kit. It hasn't always had a teeth rattling ride. Used to be smooth for lifted truck (but still not great). But it just sucks to drive lately.

Are the skyjacker nitros the same as the Tuff Country 8000 nitros?
