'79 RC D60 brake HELP!
OK, ive got a hi pinion d60 from a 79 ford single rear wheel truck.
Previous owner made a mess of the caliper brackets due to excessive wear and salty winters here on the east coast.
What i need is a page link for a FSM with pics for this particular year D60...... some take H blocks and springs? while others use a bolt to hold the h block in, some have rubber pads on a C channel ? im not at my place im researching this while im away from home so i can be ready to tackle this when i get back.
I have found some replacement caliper brackets............
Anyone have personal pics of their brakes in a rebuild?
Im lost here and cant seem to find what i need so i come to the professionals!!
PS-its a dual piston caliper axle( thats what i removed from it anyways)

If it's a '79 it uses the H block & spring. You can make shims out of thin metal. Put a few spot welds on & grind them down till they fit tight enough again. If it's not too bad you can rearch the spring in a vice. Buying used ones would be a gamble.
