Does anyone know where I could find some Cat Eliminators? I have searched several spots with no luck. Thanks

Well.. first of all its illegal...second, The vehicle is designed to work with them.If you eliminate them you will be sacrificing reliability, and most assuredly fuel economy.
Dont get me wrong.I personally would LOVE to eliminate mine as well, but todays engines are designed "around" the converter system.Eliminate that, and you open up a whole world of issues that could easily be expensive. Not including the fine if you get busted......
This is an old farts opinion.....

Ya that's very true...I was just trying to make my truck a little bit louder because my truck is pretty quiet and I have a Roush Offroad exhaust...it sounds good...just not loud enough...

You could put some louder mufflers/glasspacks on it,but leave the converters alone...TRUST me youll be better off.

what year is your truck?

04/05 trucks have 4 cats installed. you can remove the back 2 with relatively no effect, and alot of guys report they get alot more noise when those are removed.

otherwise...it's a $10,000 fine for you and the shop that did it if you get caught

Head to local hardware store. Buy a 3/8" plumbers snake. Remove cats. Chuck snake up in 1/2" hammer/drill. Rotor Rooter the cats. Reinstall cats. Connect O2 Simms. Drive away with no CEL. You can also get rid of EGR on Fords without CEL. Don't forget Global Warming is real and Al Gore invented the internet and the EPA is your friend.

It's not as good as a set of longtubes, but considering the cost of a plumbers snake it's not a bad compromise. If you live in California you can't run headers OR gut your cats anyway. You can get married to an illegal alien sissy man who has a drivers license and voter I.D. card and sit around smoking weed all day, but if you send your punk husband down to the corner store to get you a 40 ounce in your Mustang with a set of longtubes on it your car will get impounded and they'll send your husband back across the border forever. Got to love that liberal way of thinking they have out there on the west coast. Gutting your cats is also an alternative for poor people who can't afford new ones at $400.00 each.

question about a 05 wihgt the 5.4 and 4 cats. i seen the rear o2 sensor is between the front and rear cat, so removin the rear cat.. is that legal being the front is still there and what effects would this have on the truck CEL?

I've never heard of 4 cats. Why would you need them? If there isn't an additional set of 02 behind this second set of cats I can't see how it could turn on the CEL. Is it legal? You better ask the EPA or your state inspection station operator.

Ok...maybe its just me....but i don't understand those of you who would "love" to remove them......whats the advantage you think you'll see? If your after noise pull the muffler off.....if your after power....you won't be able to see ANY increase without it being on a dyno...and even then you may see ZERO gains.....

Its ILLEGAL to remove ANY of the 4 cats.....and they're all there to remove crap from your exhaust so we can all breath in the future...
