Diagnosing high rpm power loss!
Ok, I'm at my wits ends here. I've been having this problem with high rpm power loss and my mechanic is saying it's probably the converter. I spoke to another mechanic today and he told me that it could be my fuel pump , the converter, or even possibly the computer? He thought that if the converter was bad the O2 sensors would create a bad code and the check engine light would come on.
For anyone who's changed out their converter, did your check engine light come on before you changed it out?
I don't want to change the converter and have the same problem and this is driving me nuts.

I was driving in the rain the other day and the truck ran real good, a day later it ran like crap. I pulled the coils out of curiosity and they were all damp with droplets of water on each one. Blew them all off with compressed air and seems to be better.
What have you done to diagnose the problem?
