as the title says i have an electrical issue, i ONLY have head lights and the rear running lights...none of the turn signals, brights, hazards, brakes, ect...work i need a diagram or picture of a 1983 f-350's fuse box..i only have THREE fuses in my box...with a total of 5 things in it 2 of which i have no idea what they are..
also something i just found...i took the air cleaner (which is NOT for my truck) off and i found this random rod not connected to anything...it goes down to the transmission where the gear selector is..can someoen tell me what that this does??? it that my other gear or 2 i dont have or something?
that rod is your kick down linkage.should be hooked to the carb by the acclerator linkage.I'm sure we have fuse box diagrams in the sticky section.you should more than 5 fuses in the cues Box.

Here is the power distribution diagram. It has the fuse panel diagram as well.
The headlights isn't powered by the fuse panel. It's protected by a fuse link, and a circut breaker in the headlight switch itself. That is why your headlights work.
Replace all the appropriate fuses in the fuse panel as it is marked in the diagram. Then if something doesn't work, we can go on from there.
that rod is for the trans to kick down a gear when you floor the gas peddle.all my trucks are manual trans and it's been awhile since I have seen one hooked up.some one will chime in on this one.
im probably gonna hook it back up..i need to find a cheap place to get my front pinion seal replaced...i have the seal and oil i just dont think that I can do it...
