You know I seen some right hand drive cars here. The gas and brake pedals are like ours. gas on the right , brake and clutches on the left.
Now I would not say that is for sure, but the right hand ones that have been imported here in Canada have them that way, unless they change them after they send them here.
The shift pattern is the same, too and the "indicator" is on the left. It's much tougher getting used to the side of the road than shifting with the left hand. When you pull up to a stop sign, and want to take a right turn, which direction do you concentrate on? The first two days are spent second guessing your instincts but you get used to it.
The toughest part about the shifter is the downshifting part. When you are cruising along at 50mph or so in your vehicle and some clown in a Civic with a wing speeds past you, you PULL the stick from third back and toward your body to hit second...same with fifth to fourth. With right hand drive, you have to pull the stick out of third and push down and away to hit second...more than twice I hit fourth unexpectedly.
Ireland (Munster) is the greatest place I've ever driven.
