leaf springs
Talkin to my buddy about my ****ty ride quality in my 00 F250 4x4 and he said somethin bout a buddy of his swapping the leafs from a F350 to his F250 and that softening up the ride. Idk doesnt make sense to me so i thought I'd see id there is any truth to this. Thanks for any help i get on this

Lots of variables in ride quality. Wheelbase, weight, tire size, shocks and the list goes on. My 04' SC is equipped almost identical to my dads 03' CC with the same engine, trans, tire size and etc only difference (besides WB) being he has a truck cap on his and over twice the miles I have on my truck. His truck rides quite a bit smoother more than likely because of the increased wheelbase and weight.
Some trucks come from the factory with heavy service front springs. If you have the heavier front springs swapping them out to a set of standard springs should increase the ride quality.

do you still have the factory shocks? i replaced mine with monroe's and my trucks rides like a sports car and i have the snow plow front springs and a add a leaf in the rear. also you dont buy 3/4 and 1 ton trucks for the ride their made to work maybe thats why your buddy probally owns a 1/2 ton
