4x4 Auto
Correct me if I am wrong, the Auto feature in the 4x4 is operated on vacuum. Locking the hubs in is 4x4 with the switch in 4x4. I have an 04 and I was wondering if and what there is to fix the vacuum 4x4 when in the unlock or free postion with the front hubs. I also noticed when the hubs are locked in and I put it in 4x4 my heater will change to defrost no matter what I have it set on. Any Ideas?

you have a vacuume leak would be my guess. anytime there is a loss of vacuum to the a/c controll head it will always default to defrost.
with autolocking hubs yes they are vacuume operated. they can be engauged by hand if you so choose though.
