I own a '99 F250 Super Duty and it started blinking error code 27 after I changed the battery. It blinks every time I start the vehicle and then stops after a while, but the light stays on. Does anyone know of a link where I can find out or does anybody know? I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had this problem before. Thanks!
Cant say for sure, but...
1) Some other posters have talked about the light being burned out
inside the switch that turns off the passenger air bag.
The fix was to solder an LED into its place??????
2) Another one mentioned something about the clock spring in the
steering wheel??????
I just had the same issue with my truck, it is the passenger side airbag off light that is burnt out, when you start the truck look over and see if the pass airbag light on the dash comes on for a brief moment and then go off, if you don't see the light, then you will need to replace it, if you can use a soldering iron, it is an easy 3.00 fix. check out this link on instructions on how to fix it, https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...code-27-a.html also use this link it gives you a part number of a radioshack bulb that works great 1998 Ford Ranger Air Bag Code 27 - Automotive Message Forums hope this helps.
