6 speed and transfer case fluids

6 speed and transfer case fluids
Ok men it is time for me to change my transfer case and 6speed oils. What is required for these and what brand do you like? Also, where is the drain plug on he 6 speed? On the side or directly on the bottom? My truck has skid plates and it was hard to see from just a quick peek? Joe

Just good ole fashioned ATF. I've run both the regular stuff and synthetic in my 6 speed and haven't really noticed a difference between the two. Yes you drain the tranny with the plug on the bottom and re-fill it through the one on the side.
