Hi everyone, I've been enjoying all the great info. here for the last 6 mos. or so, and now I have question. As a result of some horse trading I ended up with a automatic, with low miles on a rebuild, out of a 91 f-250 diesel. It's suppose to have a mild build up using a better kit and convertor. Is this something I can use in my 2001 or is there too many changes in those 10 yrs.? I dont need one at this time, but it would be nice to know if I can utilize it later or if i should just peddle it. Thanks in advance.
Wow, already a supporter with your first post. Welcome and thanks for supporting the site.
The Superduty's got a new tranny starting with the 99 model, so there's no point in saving the 91. Sell it and put the money toward something for your truck. Maybe you can install a shift kit in your tranny to firm up the shifts, or maybe some other mod you might have read about.
