Cam Position Sensor Broke off Help Needed
Newbie here that needs some help.... I'm trying to help my father out. While trying to change the Cam Position Sensor in his 2002 Ford F250 Diesel, it broke off almost flush and I was wandering if anyone could tell me how the hell to get it out now.......Any help is greatly appreciated.

It should not cause you too much of a headache. You could try a small magnet or suction cup.

How about gluing a washer to it with J B Weld.

if you have an 90 degree offset for a drill hook up a drill into it with a screw out and pull it out.

What would happen if the piece were to go in instead of come out? or can it fall in?

Piece should be NOT able to fall inside. The clearance between the cam sensor and cam gear is very close. I can't quote the exact distance, but unless it was just a sliver it would not fall in. Drill and screw seems to be the best and quickest solution to its removal. Good luck!

Well it looks like we'll be trying the drill and sheet metal screw, but not today. Thanks for all your input. I'll let you know how it turns out.
