Looking to buy an X to replace by 98' Extended Cab pickup. Kids getting bigger, boat got a lot bigger, and I need the extra room and towing capacity. I've been doing a lot of reading.
Sure, I'd love to have the 7.3, but I drive about 1/4 mile to work daily. For that and other reasons the V-10 suits me fine.
Wondering if I'm being realistic, but I'd like to find a 2000-02 Limited, 4x4, with up to 120,000 miles. I'm a cash buyer with $8k in my pocket.
I just saw a 2001 v10 with 102k on it for 10275 at a dealer in wi.....You arent totally out of the ballpark, but probably leaning toward a 00 with closer to the 120k mark.
yes if you dont let the v-10 warm up and let the battery charge you will actually kill the battery on such short duration due to the battery draw on startup......
You're right in the ballpark. I bought an 00 v10 4x4 limited with 102k miles about 6 months ago for $7400, and I've seen a few more similar deals since then.
I am in MD and I have a 2000 LTD with 150K miles on it. I having been trying for quite some time to find a 2003 w/7.3 but my search has been fruitless thus far. Point being, if I find a 2003 I will be ready to sell my 2000 which is in very good condition for the mileage. No issues that I can think of off-hand. I would be looking to get $7,500 for it if possible. If you are interested let me know. I would not be opposed to selling it before I find a replacement if need be. I am in Harford County MD.
Might be interested. I make it over that way couple times a month. Send me some details / pics of what you have.
Thanks,
