Problably a broken wire or faulty keypad. I've seen both. Do any of the #'s light the pad lighting? Check each # one at a time and see if the light turns on on the pad when you touch each, if the light doesn't turn on for 1 of the #'s, then you problably have a faulty pad or the wire for that # is broken somewhere.
Looking at the schematic, there appears to be 3 power wires that depending on the button sequence pushed ground either 1 or 2 of the wires thus dropping the voltage at the Body Security Module. If you can get the door panel off, I would disconnect the wiring harness at the back of the pad and load check your ground wire(black). That wire is the one wire that effects every button #.
well i just tried it again and the pad numbers lit up, the headlights didn't come on and the doors didn't open. i guess i was mistaken when i said the lights didn't work yesterday.
Does it do it for every button though. You have to push the 1/2 button(let the light turn off again), then push the 3/4 button and so on(making sure to let the light on the keypad turn off after every button pushed). If you get to a button or buttons that do not light, post the buttons and I'll try to help further.

The 9/0 button does not illuminate.
Thanks again for all the help.
If the 9/0 key is not lighting up, it appears the only wire running that is the power wire(Red) and the ground wire leaving the switch(black). You say the rest of the keys light up, but the 3/4 button should command the Red wire as well as the Light Blue-Yellow wire to drop power at the module. It is possible that the Red wire has an open in it and when you are pushing the 3/4 button it is only seeing the LB-YE wire drop and the module thinks you are pressing 1/2(scan tool would aid in knowing for sure). Check for power at the red wire with the keypad disconnected(press a button first on the keypad before disconnecting the harness to make sure the module wakes up). If you don't have power at the RED wire you problably have an open between the module and the keypad.
Access to the module is behind the rear seat backrest. The wire runs out of the driver side door, along the lower door sill plate and behind the rear seat. hope this helps! sorry if it's too technical......
