Boggers or LTBs?

lookin for some new tires for my 78 f250. I have it narrowed down to 38.5 boggers or 40 super swamper LTBs, which one should i go with?

Boggers are the ultimate mud tire. There also expensive as all get out! I actually bought a set 40" LTBs and i like them, do great off road, and seem to wear pretty well.

are the boggers a lot better in mud than the LTBs or is there not much of a difference? The main things making this a hard decision is offroad performane as well as looks, however i also originally wanted a 40" tire but I cnt afford bigger than 38.5 boggers, the LTB 40s are pretty cheap

You cant beat the price of the LTB's. There not going to do as good in the mud as a bogger, but they hold there own. No complaints here.

eeeh, hold on there speedracer....

38.5 or 39.5 Boggers?

Im a big antagonist of 38.5x15 boggers. The tread spacing is the narrowest of all boggers...even the little baby 31s. If you are talking about 38.5 boggers vs 40 LTBs then deffinitely go with the LTBs.

39.5 Boggers vs 40 LTBs...tough call.

The boggers are 500/tire vs 300/tire for the LTBs. The boggers are obviously better in the mud but take a tremendous amount of horsepower and gearing to keep spinning. If your truck is a little more mild in the motor department Id go for the LTBs hands down.

You wont get more than about 10-12k on the street with either so thats not an issue.

ya i was talkin about the 38.5 bogger they're wayyyy cheaper than the 39.5s. the trucks got a 460, which i think should be plenty of power but im not sure what its got for gears. Its mostly a matter of price otherwise id get the 39.5s hands down, but I also have a 16.5" rim, and I dont think they make LTBs for that size rim, or a tleast i cant find one.

wait until you slap those 39.5 boggers on there and see if you think it "still" has plenty of power. hahaha....roughly 200lbs of rim and tire x 4.

They havent released the 40x17x16.5 LTB yet.

How about 39.5x16x16.5 TSLs?

I was talking about the bias tire.

Looking on Intercos site I shouldve said 39.5x15x16.5
TSL Bias | Interco Tire

These will be more aggressive than the radials.

The treads are really freakin close. Is this offroad only or some street use?

it will see some onroad use. But Its not my daily driver so i wont be puttin a lot of miles on it at all, so I do want a very aggressive tire, i dont mind the noise/vibration and what not

Get 38.5 boggers and cut the little lugs out.

Probably not be DOT legal and probably beat you to death but they are "aggressive"
