I have a 79 F-150 w/ 300 6cyl., NP432 4 speed Transmissino, and a NP205 (196 Gear Ratio) Transfer case. I also have a wrecked 79 with a C6, NP203 (201 Gear ratio) Transfer case. I was wondering if I could swap out the NP205 for the NP203. I have all the driveline parts from the 203 including axles, driveshafts, etc. I just want to know if they will swap and if the different gear ratios is going to be a problem. I am also going to swap the 6 for a 351m/400 soon. So let me know if that will be a problem as well. Thanks a bunch for your alls input. I enjoy coming to the BBS and seeing what you all are talking about..... THANKS!!!!
Mike you should be able to swap like parts, with no problems, as for the engine swap not sure. The 351m is a different family, better check farther on that one. The 300,302,351W, I know are the same. The bellhousing is where the difference would be.
