Would love to have the console, nice to see MPG even if not the most accurate, plus the storage and heck just so darn cool. Anyone added one to there truck?
I bought one of these for my ranger, havent installed yet. That application requires cutting the headliner to install, a new bracket to hold it and then running the wires. The temp sensor I never found as it sits somewhere up by the radiator and the guy in the salvage yard was less than helpfull. I am not sure where you would tap in to the harness for the mpg read outs on your truck. If you can find a salvage yard with one intact see if they will let you get it and the harness then maybe it will be a lot easier to do.
As I said my experience is on a ranger my ps has it already.

It is complicated on an '05 and later, because that info was never in an overhead console. They moved it to the message center in the dash. It can be done, according to this guy who sells them: Retrofit Ford F150, F250, F350 Overhead Console Kits
Even he cautions that it is not easy.
I chose to just put the less expensive F150 style in that he sells. It only has outside temp and compass, plus the storage compartments. You can see pics in my gallery.
The wiring harness will NOT be in existence on your truck. You will have to splice into the PCM wiring in multiple places.
