Was driving today, climbing a hill on I-80 in NJ. Not a steep hill but enough to cause semi's to use flashers. I merged into traffic and immediately went to overtake a slow moving semi. I didnt mash the throttle just gave her a push to accelerate. she didnt up shift just increased RPM's and when I got to a certain I felt what I can describe as a miss.....felt like a slip in the gear box. in laymans terms felt more like what you would feel if you spun the tires for a secons on a patch of ice...If you know what I mean.
Now the truck drove totally normal the next ten miles to work, I tried mash'n it at some lights, and accelerating and decelerating.
At work I checked trans fluid and it was good, on my way home I climbed a hill getting on to I-80 again and same thing feels like a slip in fourth when I am accelerating.....very strange.....should I take it to a tranny shop I pass one every day.
Mine kind of did the same thing with the ATS trans when I would accelerate to get on the freeway but I think it was second to third. There ended up being a ton of shavings in the pan. I junked that ATS after the third time in the shop and a fresh rebuild!
