I haven’t had a ton of experience with aftermarket parts and am looking for some advice. I am going to be upgrading my ’99 F250 7.3 and am looking at adding the following aftermarket parts:
-S&B intake
4 inch MBRP stainless steel single exit
-Six position Tuner from TDP (Wildman) or Bean’s diesel performance
-Boost fooler?
EGT gauge (already have Trans. Temp.)
Which tuner?
Do I need a boost fooler and if so, where from?
Who has a good EGT for a fair price?
If there is something listed here that you think is a serious mistake, feel free to point it out.
welcome!
where in cheesehead land are you?
join your state chapter and find some local SD 7.3 owners, I am sure you will get a lot of friendly help here and close to home!
Seven-point-three, I don't think you could go wrong with calibrations from Tony OR Jonathan. They're both awesome tuners and wonderful people. Either one would be a fantastic choice.
Check out http://www.riffraffdiesel.com Clay has been a member here for a long time and really knows his stuff. Give him a call. He has great prices and the service is top notch!
Your definitaly not gonna go wrong with either tuner. I got my Boost fooler from ITPdiesel. I got my guages from Dieselmanor they have some good deals on gauge packages and have some pretty good instructions with them.
Thanks for the replies so far.
Second post - I live in Whitewater, WI, which is about a half hour from the state line. I used to be a flatlander myself, lived in Elgin, Illinois. I might look into joining a truck club or chapter
Third Post - I have heard good things about both tuners, should probably just flip a coin.
Fourth Post - Thanks for the site, it looks like he has got a lot of aftermarket parts at competitive prices.
