Have you changed your widows to power and if so what tips and tricks can you share with us. I have a 1960 ford truck stepside that has a one piece but having troubles with the exiting kit i have. any info would be helpful.
if you want a low buck method to put power windows in, this is what i did on my 60 truck.
i took the power window motors from a mid 70 or early 80's Ford product (i think they should all be the same motor just about, the newer the vehicle the more compact the motor is). the gear on the motor is the exact same gear as on the crank mechanism on the stock window. i took off the hand crank gear and stuff so you are just left with the gear for the window raise arm itself. i had to use a 1/4" plate to raise up the motor enough to engage the gear properly. then i just drilled and tapped the motor and plate to the widow mechanism and i had power windows on the cheap for my truck that work really good.
i did have to trim awau some of the interior bracing to fit the motor, but if you have one piece windows you probably already had to trim away this bracing anyways.
i can see if i can take some pics of them, but they are installed so i might not get really good pics.
