FMX Transmission Question

I have an FMX automatic in my Ranchero. The dipstick tube had worked its way out of the transmission housing because it was unbolted. I have it pressed back into the housing but cannot for the life of me figure out where the tab at the top of the tube bolts up to. There are no bolt holes that line up anywhere near the tabs. Can anyone describe where this bolts up to?

FMX Transmission Question

John , if you have the correct dipstick, it will bolt to the bell, at the bell to engine bolt.

Hope that helps,

John

FMX Transmission Question

At the bell housing is the first choice, but I remember my old Falcon had it to the back of the head, and, I,m pretty sure I've seen other older FORD's go to the head also.
