i've got the 6 position ts but i am looking for new tunes. i've checked a few places, bean's was a little high for my financial situation, tw sounds great but i dont want to send it of and drive it without a chip, i talked to dave at swamps today and he said they do a reburn for a hundred bucks. just wondering if anyone was running swamps tunes or know if they are good or bad. i tried to post this a minute ago but i think it came up in a completely different place
thanks. do you know of any of the tunes he offers? i really liked the guys at beans but 275 dollars is gonna be a stretch on my college budget. i just need a little more power for every penny i can blow
I ran some of theirs before. IMO coming from Jody's transmission programming, it didnt fit the bill. Also their egts were higher, and MPG down a little. Im not trying to bash them. Just my findings. I also got 1-2 reburns. Cant remember how many now, its been some time. Just couldnt make me happy in the tranny department. However, some of that could have been miscommunication on my part.
its a 6 speed so im not really worried about that. im really happy with my mpgs right now so a drop of 1 or 2 im not too concerned about either. although the higher egt's do kinda bother me. are they better than the off the shelf ts tunes? if not i might be better off keeping my money. i'd like to have a set of single shots but so far im still 1600 dollars away

Everyone I've talked to with their stuff likes 'em -- this is the first negative I've seen. Which singles are you looking for? You can get Casserly Stage 1s for about a kilo-buck from Riff-Raff...

They were up 1-200 degrees IIRC, and mpg were down 2-3 mpg for me. I do alot of interstate travel, and have alot of time to watch my gauges on trips. I use atleast 40 gallons of fuel a week. The difference between off the shelf TS and Swamps, is Swamps will continue to adjust at your request. TS you get what you get, and thats all she wrote.
maybe i'm closer to injectors than i thought. the only injectors i have priced were from hendrix in scottsville ky. how many tunes do i get for $100 at swamps? the guy didn't really say he just said he hoped to see me tomorrow. this is my second 7.3 but its the first one with more than just a chip. i also have the ITP OBA w/ straight pipe and k&n intake. i would like some custom tuning for now since thats about all i have the money for (dang college has broke me). i like what i am hearing about swamps so far and his prices are better than others i've checked on
