If your truck isn't ac equiped, it'll be much easier. I seem to remember a buddy's '78 with air, and him wishing he'd just pulled the fender off! You're in for a job! By the time you get it done, you'll wish you had a '67-72 F100. About three screws and five minutes max to change the blower motor out. Good luck!

If you have AC you have to pull the whole unit out that houses the AC core and the heater core and the blower is in along with all the other stuff. Take the hood off!!! It makes this job so much easier and you arent always hitting your head and you can see what you are doing. There are 6 or 7 bolts that you have to pull out. 5 are accessed from the cab and the other two are in the engine compartment. You have to pull the glove box out too. You dont have to disconnect your AC lines but it is easier this way. Mine wasnt charged so I didnt leak any freon. Once you get the houseing out you can get to the blower relativaely easily. Going back in with the housing can be tricky. This can take about 1 really good day of work to change.
