[updated:LAST EDITED ON 21-Jun-02 AT 11:02 AM (EST)]Hello all... I have a 98 Expy/5.4/4WD. with 55k on her.
I bought it with about 48k already on it. I have read several posts on the front supsension and the "mushy" steering or what feels like "oversteering". She's got new tires all the way around and I'm constantly checking the pressure.
I have installed Rancho 9000 shocks, Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings on the front suspension and a Helwig rear anti-sway bar.
I'm not new to driving SUV's. I've had a 4-Runner and a Tacoma and an Explorer. Even with all the improvements, I'm still not comfortable with the way the front end feels, especially on the interstate.
I love my Expy but I'd like to feel more confident driving it.
My question is ......... Has anyone installed a steering stablizer?
If so what can you tell me about it? (likes / dislikes). Will this improve the feel of the front end

I put one on my 2000 Expy and could not believe the improvement it made...the best $55 I have spent. I later added Rancho RSX's and these too made a dramatic improvement. I personally think my Expy drives better than any of my three previous SUV's (Bronco, Explorer, and Mountaineer).
