4 speed shifter
Hey guys I have a 1980 4 speed in my 79 and would like to find a longer shifter any suggestions?

get some roundstock, cut it to the length you want, weld somethin with threads on to each end, i.e. a nut on one end, a bolt on the other, paint it, and install.

You could just section it too if you go the welding route. Just cut it off a little below the threads add some round stock and weld the rod to the shifter and put the threads back on top.

yuppers. and if ya do that, get a flapper wheel for your grinder to smooth it out. youll never know it was welded after you paint it.
