suspension switch .... which one would be better?

I am tring to fix up my '79 f-150 4x4 and i wanted to use heavy duty suspension parts instead of the regular 5 lug parts i have now. I found a 78 f 150 with the dyna 70 (i think) rearend and 8 lugs on a full floating rearend. Can i install that in place of my 9" rear i have now? Which one would be stronger? Also i would have to change the front end gears to match the rear and the brakes so that i will have 8 lugs in the front too but i have a straight axle front end and the other truck uses coil springs where i have leaf springs in the front. can i just swap the spindles and brakes so i can keep my front end? also will the gears out the other truck fit the housing? they both look the same. Thanks in advance for any help any one can provide.

the dana 70 is alot badder then a 9" and will bolt right in place of it.you will need to use 3/4 ton outers. 3/4 tons are dana 44's but have 8 lugs and 1 ton brakes.or you could cut the radius arm mounts off of your dana 44 1/2 ton front and weld them to a dana 60 front axle.keep the coils but have all 1 ton stuff. thats what i did on my 79 short bed. i have never broke it with 5:13 gears,44 boggers and a big block.any more ?'s e-mail me i'll send pic's.
thanks dave
