I have a 1994 F150 4x4 5.0 with an E4OD. When I bought the truck a previous owner had already hacked the exhaust up so there is no catalytic converter. I have been thinking about running longtube headers with true duals through a pair of magnaflow mufflers. I noticed on my stock y-pipe that the o2 sensor is reading from both sides of the exhaust. Will there be any difference if it is only reading from the passenger side exhaust?
On a side note, you can always go 2-1-2 and save some money and the headache of routing 2 pipes all the way out the back. Are you going to have a crossover?
I vote for single 3 inch pipe with sinlge in dual out straight through muffler and 2.25-2.5 inch talpipes with your choice of 3-3.5 inch tips. It will flow nearly if not as well as the true duals.
Go with the duals, imo it sounds way better and you get a deeper sound.I've never had a loud ford truck with just single exhaust. But that's just me I like a loud aggressive sound.Login | Facebook
This is my truck at silver lake climbing test hill.At the time I had shorty headers,2.5 pipe back to 2 40 series mufflers with 3 in tailpipes. The sound on the video kind of cuts out,but you get a general idea what it sounds like.
