So what's mangled under the rear bumper? Is the frame REALLY bent back there? I think I'd be putting THAT under the torch and straighten it!

I'm with Shaun on that one. The frame bent" Back there, all it's doing is holding the bumper. I've seen a lot of trucks running around without rear bumpers at all.

If you find another one totalled that badly I'll take it. Matter of that ones pretty bad so you prob. oughta give that one to me. lol

frame not bent, just bumper, and brackets, and some paint work

Charlie, you'd dang well better let the lawyer handle this one.....if that's all the damage is, those adjusters have their heads up their *****...

....Maybe an independent repair shop estimate would persuade them....

problem is, they will only value the truck at $300. 75% of the value totals the truck, bumper and brackets are $180 used, plus the paint work needed. amazeing thing, the guy said he would haul it off for free, just sign the tittle. hmmm, something smells funny here, watcha think?

I wouldn't let the truck go for $300
just my opinion-hey I have bought trucks in worse shape than that for more money
