I am restoring a 1976 F250 4x4. It had a 360 engine with auto trans. I would like to put a 351/400 with 4 speed out of a 1978 F150 2x4. Can you tell me what I will have to change? It looks like the trany is too short and the motor mounts are not the same. Please help.

5401, You be in for a lot of fun changing from auto to straight, got that clutch thingy to deal with, perches, driveshaft, plus a lot more. If you get started now, you might finish before winter.

Tell him boys, about the fun.
