could not e-mail you about the rearend stuff, but hear goes, changed the 3.00 gears to 2.75 still have the clunk when i give it pedal and when i let off the gas all this happens at about 30 to 45mpg, all the u-joints are good the carrier bearing is new, nothing is lose along the drive train, so i need help, this ones got me stumped. any help or ideas?.

Hi Strawboss,
Did you adjust the backlash between the ring gear and pinion with shim stock? If you don't do that it can cause too much slack between those gears that will cause a clunking sound when you let off of the gas.
