Repeating a chapter post here
Greetings, Indiana Chapter FTE faithful!
Old trucks are generally well know to old truck guys. Many 'gear-head-truck-nuts' who are fans of a particular make have eBay "searches" to check for listings of the vehicles they are partial to. Hence, I am asking the question, does anyone know my truck? Earlier this month I purchased a '51 F1 that had repeatedly been listed as a classified ad on eBay. The truck was (still is) in North Salem, Indiana. I bought it on the basis of the seller's description and the pictures. I know that's taking a chance, but some people blow more away on a visit to a casino than I have in the old truck. You have to trust once in a while.
There is an outside chance that someone on this list lives near North Salem and the old truck I have purchased may have "resided" there for lots of years. Perhaps someone knew a previous owner of the truck. Wouldn't it be something if a previous owner lurked on the FTE forum? Perhaps someone went to see the pickup while it was listed.
The same four pictures that were on the eBay ad are posted in the 'garage' section of my FTE profile. Have a look and see if you recognize it.
If anyone out there "knows my truck," good or bad, please tell me what you know. I have not seen it yet. Arrangements were made to leave it in storage with the seller until the days are as long as the nights and it is a little warmer. I will collect it in late March.
I am hopeful to meet some of the Indiana Chapter FTE later this year.
Keep truckin' on!
