302 Timing chain/gears

I'm replacing the timing chain and gears in my 91 302 and wondering what year timing set to buy, I think I have read that with efi460's you can buy an earlier timing set and get a little more power out of it. Can you do it with 302's to get a little gain?

Year doesn't really matter as long as it's the right width. Comp and all the others sell timing sets that will let you advance or retard cam timing.

doesn't matter where cause its most likely a cloyes, or federal mogul, melling blah blah chain.

The factory has some motors with retarded centerlines, mainly in the mid 70's. Like mentioned if you get a decent aftermarket chain or one with advance or retard keyways. You will be fine, depends on cam and use also.
