When I bought my 99 F250, I put a bedliner in it. We don't have to worry about water getting under the bed liner here in Phoenix. It is way to slick inside for what I use it for. I then put a roll up bed mat (Ford OEM Harley) on top of the bedliner so that nothing slides around. It's a bit overkill but I do have pick up tile in this truck sometimes and I can't have it sliding around to be broken.
I had a friend that bought a toyota that had a bed liner in it. the liner looked great when we removed it we had to replace the whole bed of the truck as it was rusted and gone. Spray or a roll on are the best ways to go.
I can't find a roll up bed mat for my '66 long bed. Every place I look only have mats for newer trucks (earliest I can find is '74). Anybody got a link? Thanks.
The only luck I have had are the universal bed mats that you have to cut to size. As far as custom I can't find one for a 66. Here is a link to summit racing. Bed Mats - SummitRacing.com
See if any of these will work for you. If you are good with sciccors or a blade it will probably good good.
