I have a 1976 ford truck and was wanting to convert the front end to a tilt. Has anyone ever done this? I want to do the work myself, any books, info, hints, thoughts, ect? Thanks for any info. Cory
Not sure of what you mean by a front end tilt, are you talking about the front axle? I know of a few companies that sell 2, 4, and 6 degree C-bushing kits for F150's and Bronco lifted applications. They tilt the axle to correct for the change that occurs when higher lift front coils are installed; an inexpensive and easy, but effective alternative to lowering the rear of the radius arms. These are quite common now and most parts stores carry them, however they should have been included with your lift kit unless you bought your springs seperate or swapped them from another vehicle.
