97 Explorer Eddie Bauer start ?
My grandmother's 97 Explorer sometimes won't start in park and we haft put it neutral to get it to start. And when we put it in park and turn it off it'll roll for a bout a foot til it catches. Is it the same problem causing both of these iusses?

sounds like the shift cable needs adjusting or replacing ck on tranny to make sure it is fully inguaged in park also your saftey neutral switch could be bad
